Edge Explore 2 not going into auto sleep

Okay, I have a problem, the patient is Explore 2. The auto sleep function is not working (i.e., the screen does not turn off). Auto sleep is of course turned on; at first, I thought it might be related to the timer and alerts for food/drinks that I turned off (the timer as well), but that didn't help.

Later, I thought it might be some sensor waking it up (I have Magene S3+ and H303), but even after disconnecting the sensors, it still doesn't go into sleep mode.

The worst part is if i start activity i cannot turn the screen off even manually...

I mean this cannot be design decision? Can someone tell me what I should do to make the screen turn off when there is no activity or after a longer pause?

Sometimes i'll just sit on a bench, hammock for like a hour or even longer and the screen just stays on, It's just waste of battery.

  • So i figured it out myself.. for the device to go into auto sleep there cannot be activity, so basically the activity has to be manually stopped with button and then after 5 minutes it will go auto sleep. And afterwards it has to be manually waken up with the same button again..

  • So what you are saying is that the battery save function like in my 830 is not available? Bizarre!
