Map zoom buttons (+ - hand) always on screen?

I know the Explore2 SW is based on the 1040, but I wonder if the Map button (at the top of the map screen) auto-hide?

Or is there a setting to have them auto-hide?

    Unfortunately no. On x30 devices those symbols did auto hide after a brief period but Garmin did not include this function for x40 or x50…

It has been requested a number of times. Because of the position and orientation of the map icon the course line frequently gets obscured by these symbols as it exits the top of the screen.
