I live in the US and our Explore 2 worked great for last year's tour across the US. But we will be going to Europe and would appreciate any assistance on how to get European maps on our Explore 2.
Thanks!!

Either give Garmin more $ for the maps (but they might not fit?) or look at OSM map sites like https://extract.bbbike.org/ what will allow you to tailor a specific area for the map extract, make sure you use the Garmin (Latin1) formats and remember that these sites exist due to the work of non-commercial individuals and a small donation helps to cover costs and keeps the servers serving. The process is very easy and DC Rainmaker did an overview a few years back (some of the sites he mentions no longer exist for the reason above)
I have used BBBike in the past for use on our older Garmin 800. Have not tried it on the Explore 2.Do you know if it works on a Garmin Explore2?
I do it all the time on a 530 and a 1040 so no reason to think explore is any different, plug it in to a PC or Mac and see if you can view the Garmin as a file system, that’s all you need (recent Garmin software version have changed things in this area and made life more difficult for Mac users)
Thanks for your response! I will play around with it this weekend.
In the past BBBike maps ha e been great and worked well for us.
