Hazards notification: how to disable?

Guess what... in each Profile there is an entry 'Alerts and Prompts'...

I don’t often rant online.

BUT , I think this is frankly dangerous.  I was unable to resist trying to turn off these annoying pothole alerts when riding yesterday , as they kept obscuring data i DID need to see , but with bumpy roads i had trouble hitting the correct spot on the screen to disable the annoying alert.  I then become even more task focused on this drivel and almost crash. 

it should be an opt IN ,  it an opt OUT feature. 
i had turned it off before and for some reason it reappeared.  

I Would consider Garmin liable if it comes back again despite my attempts to disable it, and causes me to crash by distracting me even for a second at a critical moment.  There are more potholes than smooth roads in Devon, UK , so it is useless and pointless. 

Garmin - please ditch this poorly implemented piece of bloatware , or at the very least change it to OPT IN. 

Please do not treat us like idiots and please please do not make cycling more dangerous for us.

I agree. Also there could/should be a way to know what is the alert about by only hearing it. It really distracts exactly at the most dangerous point (when BTW even if I understood it wants to tell me there's a dangerous curve, it's too late, I'm already leaning into the curve and trying to find the best spot to pass, when I get the notification... It should be 100m earlier) so looking at the screen trying to read a long sentence with tiny font is not helping at all. I'd prefer a read out. I'm sure there aren't many types of notifications, all of them could be read out.

I would appreciate it if I had the option to choose which hazard I want to see. Those potholes do not interest me.
