How do I keep my Garmin Connect from disconnecting when syncing for updates while it is connected with a charge cord?

My Garmin Explore 2 is connected to my computer with the charge cord to a USB outlet. The problem is it keep disconnecting while I am synching. Why? Suggestions?

Probably you need to buy a new cable.

After connecting the Garmin to the computer, it turns off and this is normal, and synchronizes with the application
