Cold weather backlight only 30%. Problem with user and settings or device?

Hi, I have brand new Explore 2, with newest software. Display is dark when temperature only couple of minus degrees Celsius and device limit backlight to 30% even with full battery. Device doesn’t let me manually change it higher. Thats not enough for my fifty years old eyes. I’ve try to change display and battery saving settings without success. I’m really frustrated and changed back to using mobile phone. Any hint for good winter settings?

    I'm just setting mine up for the first time, but it consistently resets to 30% backlight even though it's registering 15C.It's just one of the irritations which I don't remember from the Wahoo Bolt. To say it's getting our relationship off to a bad start is putting it mildly. Should have expected it after a couple of years using an Instinct 2 watch. The amount of times it wants to record my current GPS position when I only want to know the time.
