Beta forum is read-only .... According to Garmin, there is no beta active...that's why I wrote here
I'm not subscribed to the beta program and have received the 26.17 firmware update on my Explore 2 unit.
So far the only change I noticed is a pretty reskin of the compass data screen.
It's not official unless they announce it somewhere. Until then it's still - according to my theory - an accidental release, because someone checked the wrong checkbox in some form and nobody in Garmin…

Do you have any problems with 26.17?
I haven't had a chance to try it yet.
I'm signed up for the beta, but I see that they're releasing it as an official release and I confirm the changes you're writing about.

Nothing out of the ordinary.
I went for a 30 km course yesterday with 26.17, using the loop-to-start course creator feature. It forgot to warn me about upcoming turns a few times, resulting in several 'off course' alerts (or maybe we just disagree about what makes a turn worth mentioning) and the course it created had me do a U-turn halfway through a street (I checked afterwards and that wasn't a mistake on my part, the course actually has a U-turn for no reason).
But in my experience, this isn't specific to this new mysterious firmware.
@Kocur, could you maybe change the title of this thread to refer to version 26.17, because we are discussing its issues here now? It will trigger maybe more people who have 26.17 in the meantime?
Yesterday I did my first 45km ride with 26.17 using a course from an external source (.gpx). Basic navigation with TBT's, two sensors, no smartphone connected. No issues observed - existing settings were still there, navigation was ok, recalcs after deviation from the course were as usual (Garmin could offer more recalc options though...). So my trust level has gone up, regardless if this version is still beta or an accidently released production version.
I don't want to get hopes up too much, but it looks like the device no longer forgets ant+ sensors after going into sleep mode.
