Firmware 24.21 file for downgrade

Hi, can someone share or PM me the previous latest firmware for the edge explore 2?

I think it was version 24.21.

Can I downgrade from 25.24 to 24.21 without bricking the device?

I would like to downgrade as the 25.24 version is a step back for me.

Various issues popped up:

- random disconnect from heart sensor (occurred once)

- increased battery usage

- GPS inaccuracy: frequently misses GPS points, cutting corners in the recorded track 

- overall slower 

- noticable delay in direction of travel when turning which wasn't as big before 

- high traffic road warnings don't work anymore

- routes fail to recalculate, both when recalculating automatically and manually

The version before this worked quite well for me, apart from the known issues everyone seems to have: sensors that won't connect after sleep mode.

    I have no data on that and have not observed decrease after the device is 'MTP'. For my stile of cycling far enough battery - 5 to 6 hours riding, including break for coffee, screen backlight always on at 60%, battery on 70% (guess...) after finish.

    Edit: maybe too optimistic... better read 60 - 70%

    Feeling slower is always a subjective matter as long as you have not measured real speeds for data transfer, reaction times after key/field press, etc.. Also depending of use circumstances - the OP did not specify these. My main concern is that after 'MTP' some non-Garmin software that I use to monitor and manipulate files and maps on the EE2 do not work anymore.

    In respect to battery usage: I just did a short outside ride and noted the battery level this time at start and finish. Battery usage was 6.06% per hour for a 1.32hr ride at 7 degrees Celcius outside temp. Extrapolation of this usage for a long ride is not 'scientific' but at least it gives some indication.

    I can understand your decision not to upgrade if using your current software version 21.18 does not give you serious drawbacks.

    thats enough big problem for me

    only problem with 21.18 is that it doesnt count elevation if you start recording after pause.. (if you start it after full reboot, its ok)
