Issues with Sensor Connectivity and Incorrect Gradient Readings on Garmin Edge Explore 2

Unfortunately, after the latest update to version 25.24 on the Garmin Edge Explore 2 device, issues with connecting external sensors persist. In my case, these sensors are the Varia RCT 715 and the heart rate monitor paired with the Fenix 6X Pro Solar watch. The problem occurs after putting the device to sleep and waking it up – the device does not reconnect to the sensors automatically. It seems to attempt to connect multiple times, as indicated by a series of notification sounds. Numerous messages appear about detecting the sensor, connecting, and eventually disconnecting.

Occasionally, the connection is established on the first attempt, but it is always accompanied by a series of notifications. Unfortunately, more often, the device fails to connect to the sensors. My workaround for this issue is to put the device back to sleep and wake it up again – sometimes this needs to be done twice to establish the connection.

This problem was also present in the previous software version. Additionally, for several updates now, I’ve noticed another issue: the device displays incorrect gradient data in the activity field, and sometimes even shows the opposite gradient. This gradient error appeared in one of the earlier software versions and has remained unresolved to this day.
