With the new update 25.24 EE2 is updated to MTP (Media Transfer Protocol).
Finder and Disk Utility can't read it. Garmin has advised that we use Garmin Express to access the files, but it seems that we can't have "full control" of it.
Just tried, OpenMTP works great with it, just like what it used to be with Finder:
