Climb pro

Hi, is there a way to disable the upcoming climbs screen while using ClimbPro without turning off Climb Pro?
I have problem with long cruises. F.e. One of my bikepacking trips covers 1800 km and includes numerous climbs, which results in a lengthy loading time on my Garmin device.

  • Does n't this work?
Profile / Data Screens / ClimbPro / Show Screen On/Off? And you aditionally can switch 'Pop-up on Climb Approach' On or Off.

And is cutting the 1800 km course in day-sections an option?

  • I don't want to turn off ClimbPro, just one ClimbPro data screen.

I never split my long-distance rides; you never know where you might end up at the day's end.

  • You may not be aware of it, but navigating and activity recording are independent, so there is no need to stop recording to load another course stage if it has been split up into shorter ones.

Using shorter sections should speed up loading.

  • What are you talking about? :) I have asked about climbpro, not about shortening my rides ;)

It's not a matter of recording; rather, it's the uncertainty of not knowing how many kilometers I can cover each day, which means I can't predict where I'll be by evening.

Okay, so it's not possible – that's quite disappointing because that screen is absolutely useless for me.

  • Your original post indicates you have a problem with lengthy loading times. Shortening course stages would reduce that. The point is that the course stage does not need to match your daily ride distance, so for example, if you have a 200km course stages but want to ride 250km, at the 200km point simply load the next stage and keep riding.

It’s just another option to consider.
