Maps size

I am considering purchasing the Explore 2 and am curious whether it is possible to store maps of Germany, Czechia, Poland, and Slovakia simultaneously on the device, given its 16GB storage capacity.

If you buy it in Europe, it comes with a map of whole Europe pre-installed. The map is excellent, very detailed and receives regular updates via Garmin Espress.

If I want to update it, do I need to update the entire Europe map? What is its size?

All installed built in maps are included in map updates, for Europe this is East, West and Central + some additional maps. Latest update one was huge, about 12 GB, and after that I was left with ~1.8 GB free for custom maps, which is sufficient to have eg. Poland or Germany map from BBBike but I guess both may be hard to squeeze.
