It really depends what you mean on synchronization. They both sync with Garmin connect and for my usage it looks like they sync both ways. Although I just noticed 1 thing a few days ago: my daily recommended hydration goal isn't updated after a long bike ride. But other than that it looks synced, but I can imagine that this experience could be different depending on what data you are looking at
