Varia Radar RTL 515 + Edge Explore 2

I got the Edge Explore 2 Cycling computer and am now considering getting the Varia RTL 515 light as I really like the concept of it.

Unfortunately, the compability is not clear. It says that it works with all current Edge models, but the Edge Explore 2 is not specifically listed (but is an Edge model, obviously)

I really would appreciate some feedback, as I want to buy and use the Varia radar & light together with my cycling computer.

I have this combo. It works fine, but I haven't tested it extensively. It paired up nicely, created litght network, controls on the Edge work fine (although UI buttons for some reason are too small).
Having said that, there are various isuues with Egde devices and Varia. Check out designated Varia forum section for more details.

Does anyone else have the EE2 and RTL515 combo, does it work? The Varia pairs fine with the EE2 but I do not see cars on the screen. It works fine with the Varia app on Iphone but I'd rather use EE2.

So, I've been using this combo for my bike touring trip, 2 weeks of heavy daily use. I haven't found a single problem, and I am amazed that this is possible after reading on so many issues on connectivity, and the fact that EE2 is a problematic device on all fronts, from day 1.
Not a single drop in connection, not a single battery issue, and the Varia worked flawlesly. By the end of the trip, I have come to rely on it for my traffic awareness..

I have both & they both work flawlessly with each other.

Thanks, everything works now, just had to get out on the road and test. I love it.
