Maps for India? OpenStreetMaps or RideWithGPS or ??

I have just purchased the Edge Explore 2 for a Bikepacking trip India. Much to my surprise Garmin does not have a map. Any advice on what to do? My understanding is two possible option, but I do know if they are alternatives or will work together.

1) make routes in RideWithGPS and transfer to the GPS. I assume that will provide turn-by-turn navigation

2) install India from OpenStreetMap. I am unsure if this just provide the map and then I add routeplanning from RWGPS

Any advice will be much appreciated.

It works. Thank you. Going to India on Monday, so hope it will provide the wanted turn-by-turn. All the best. Michael
