How to choose between the darker an lighter color for tracks?

Hello all.

If you want to change the color for a course/track on the Edge Explore 2 there are always two tones on the color-circles. One half is a darker and the other one a lighter tone. But no matter what color you choose it always shows takes the darker one.

So what are the light colors for if you can not choose it?

Or does someone know how to choose the lighter ones? Because i really would prefer these.

Could it be that the light colors are used by the device when the display is in 'Night' Color Mode?

The colors you are talking about are used for the option 'Always Display', not for the history line and not for the currently active Course line (dark purple) or the Course Guidance overlay (magenta).

I just tried the night mode but it makes no difference.

An yes, you are right. It is only for the option that the track is always shown.

Which i use when i have more options. Like go left, or go right for example around a lake. In that case i make an additional track, just for the part of option B. So when i am at that point i see that i can choose to go the normal way or option B, At least i used to do this on my Oregon 600 which i had before.
