Countdown

For indoor cycling, I'd like to set up a countdown.
The coolest thing would be a data field that counts down, alarms at the end, and automatically pauses the workout.
Actually not witchcraft

I haven't found anything in the Connect IQ store for the Explore 2.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this?

  • I'm not sure if it could pause but alerting that the time is up us certainly easy to do.

However before i reinvent the wheel, can you check if it's not possible to achieve the same with the already existing tools? For example when I run sometimes i accidentally "follow" a suggested workout which does stop itself when it things it's enough for me, even when I'm in the middle of my run.

  • Actually if you search the app store in general (on the web, not from Connect IQ app, because it only shows apps for your device) then you'll see multiple such data fields exist. Try to contact the developers, probably it's easier for them to add the new devices than for me to create a new data field.

    yes, I have done that.

  • y si se puede configurar la auto pausa en ese perfil ya que gracias al sensor de velocidad detecta cuando me detengo y dejo de dar pedales

Yes, I have also set autopause and it works.
Autostart too. The only thing missing is a usable countdown.
I would prefer to set exactly 20min workouts.

It goes without, no drama but I think a simple countdown is really not witchcraft and wonder that GARMIN does not offer the data field by default.

  • so why don't you create a workout that is exactly 20m, upload it to the watch and use it?

  • upload it to the watch

Because this is about the Edge Explore 2 not a watch.
How can I download workouts to the Edge Explore 2?

  • Ah, I forgot about that :)

Let me know in a week or two what the responds were from the developers.
