Can't update device to 6.05. Device in update loop

Finally got the device connected to Garmin Express, it loads the 6.05 update file and won't update. It says "Preparing Update", then restarts and gives me the Software Update screen again. This device is a boat anchor. I haven't even taken it out for a ride yet and I already hate it. Absolute piece of *** so far.

The downloaded firmware update file may be corrupted. With the Edge connected to a computer, check if GUPDATE.GCD is in the \Garmin folder and if so, delete it. (on a Mac empty the trash too) Reconnect to Garmin Express to re-sync.

Yeah tried that, same result. I'll give it another go tonight. It updated ok to 5.09 from 4.1. I managed to find the Gupdate file for 5.09 on this forum but this 6.05 file isn't working for some reason.

Fourth try lucky. Finally got it to work. Jeez….
