Electronic shifter and Explore 2

I know Explore 2 does not support a sensor for electronic shifter. (It's a firmware issue Garmin COULD change if they didn't want to sell you a more expensive product instead.) Wonder if anyone know about a Connect app that could change this? I just upgrading to SRAM Eagle AXS shifting which is pretty cool (and expensive). It would be nice to get the stats available on other computers.

I am very happy to report there is now an app in the Connect IQ store that will put your current gear on a data screen. I just did this and it worked perfectly in my garage on the bike stand although I have yet to test it in the real world. But it does exactly what I want and made me smile!

Update after taking the axs Gear Battery 1x12 on the trail: It works perfectly. It puts the gear number in a window of your choice in the same font and size as other Garmin data. There is maybe a 1-second delay when shifting, probably about as long as it takes to feel the difference. It also tells the percentage of the battery in the derailleur. For me this completely fixes the problem and it was a quick, easy install and just does what it should.
