Gray bar on top of screen after upgrade to firmware 6.05

Hi. I just upgraded a new Edge Explore 2 to 6.05 firmware using Garmin Express, from stock firmware. The upgrade went ok but now there is a gray bar on the top of the screen (about 10 pixels height) all the time. It does not disappear after rebooting either. I can I downgrade/retry the update?

A gray bar on the top of the screen seems not to be a common issue after upgrading to 6.05. Re-install firmware is not an option from Garmin Express and Garmin does not offer a download option for earlier firmware versions. So few options to try, except a full reset to factory settings. Maybe that solves your problem. Be aware that a full reset removes all personal settings & files. Garmin Support has a backup / restore page for Edge devices - you can search for it.

Hi. Sure, here it is. All the content is shifted downwards, but to act on the menus, you have to tap slightly higher, where they should appear.

3687416 Is it possible that you have any Connect IQ apps installed on the Edge?

Hi. Yes, WikiLoc was installed at the time I did que firmware upgrade. The problem didn’t disappear after a full factory reset though (that iirc also removes installed IQ apps).
