It happened to me too few weeks ago. This helped me: all courses view > three dots in the corner > Turn Guidance to on.
Thanks for the reply, I had already checked this setting and confirmed it was on (took me a few minutes to find it -maybe your reply will help speed this up for others). . In the end I resorted to a reset which appears to have fixed the problem.
