Need more bike profiles.

Just got the Explore 2, coming from an Edge 530.
So far the main downside is the limited number of profiles, Road, Mountain and (never to use) Indoor.

On the 530 I had four bikes with separate profiles, eMTB, eRoad, plus analog MTB and Road. So the questions:

1. Is there a way to hide Indoor since I will never use it? Or alternately, make it function as either Road or MTB?

2. If I can't add the extra profiles is there a way to quick hide data screens that don't apply, such as ebike functions when riding the analog bikes? I know how to go through the menus and hide screens but that's too involved when just jumping on a different bike. Is there an easier way to get the screens appropriate only for the bike I'm riding now? Any other solutions to multi-bike setups?

I've done it and it works just like any other profile. I use that profile for bumming around town or with my kid on the back (so no power and with a focus on navigation).

Hi, I tried useing this profile outside and even though GPS data was on (i was following the map) the altitude data didnt record and when uploaded to strava it didnt come with GPS either. What did i do wrong? have i missed a setting?

That’s correct. Indoor profile does not enable GPS (for obvious reasons) that’s why Garmin needs to allow more profiles.

I'm unable to test it at the moment, but I'm pretty sure that settings for the Indoor profile can be adjusted to ude GPS, and thtat GPS data is stored when using EE2. What 4775075 might have not done is press START to begin recording his activity.
Still, this inability to edit preset profiles in a meaningful way is just frustrating.

yeah, i adjusted to switch on the GPS/GLONAS which was tracking me on a map view but no altitude was recorded. then when uploded to strava it just recorded the distance. so irritating they have needlesly limited the device in this was Garmin-Matthew is there any chance of getting this opened up? even just to 3 profiles that can be indoor + outdoor viable?

I confirm, even with the latest firmware the INDOOR profile with active GPS records the track but does not store the altimetric data. Absurd. I propose a classaction so that the three profiles can be modified as the cyclist wishes.
