Insering way points during editing tracks

Do I see it correctly that sections can only be created sequentially while creating and editing tracks. So I can place way point on a track, but then I cannot move it to change the adjacent segments.

Such a feature (like in google maps) would help a lot.

In Garmin Connect you can set waypoints at will and move them at will.

On the device itself, you can not change waypoints of a ready planned route.
However, you can plan a route with your favorites on the device and move these favorites as you wish. After saving as a route, however, this is no longer possible.

It seems to work when creating custom routes, which is great.

Unfortunately it does not work with the automatic round trip routes. It would be really nice to start with a automatic round trip route of chosen length, and then be able to fine tune it with way points.
