GARMIN! Please add support for routes, waypoints, and tracks to and from Basecamp for Explore 2

Garmin Support told me that Basecamp is now unsupported and that there will be no support for the Edge Explore 2 in Basecamp.   This is a problem as it is very difficult to move  the existing large number of routes, tracks, and courses into connect from my PC.

    Neither is Edge Explore 2 supported in Explore app :(

    I've just purchased an Explore 2, after owning and enjoying the Explore for the last 7 years.  

    I'm hugely disappointed.  It does not work with BaseCamp.  I use BaseCamp to catalogue pre-defined tours together with waypoints.  Now I read that BaseCamp is being discontinued.  What really are Garmin thinking about.  This is customer satisfaction at it's worst. 

    The user interface and interaction on the new Explore 2 is simply dreadful. The Explore is simply not fit for market.
