Edge explore 2 shutting off mid ride

Hi - Today I loaded a course to ride. Unit was fully charged. Worked perfectly for the first 10 miles and then it shut off. Would not turn back on until I got home and plugged it into power. This is a problem. :) I did update it out of the box last week after receiving it.

I don't have one so can't offer any specific help, you could scan the 1040 forum as that device shares SW and many features with the Explore 2 and has been released for approaching two months now, there are almost 400 questions posted and some might cover a similar issue. Otherwise contact Garmin Support as they will / should have knowledge of issues. They may want various device log / debug files so do it before these get overwritten. Good Luck

bevans01 Is this happening with all courses you are using or just this particular one? Also, where did this course come from and how did you send it to your device?

Hi. It was two separate courses that were gpx files downloaded from a site called "dirty freehub."

I'd recommend loading any future courses into Garmin Connect first and then sending these from Garmin Connect to your device afterwards. This will help reduce the possibility of a corrupt file being put onto the Edge.
