How do I turn on Left and Right spoken voice navigation prompts on the Garmin Edge 850 DEVICE ONLY?

I just bought the Garmin Edge 850 and I'm trying to have voice navigation prompts talk on the Edge device only.

I've made sure I've selected 'Navigation Alerts' and put Audio output to 'Device'

But it's not working?

It's only works if I set the Audio Output to 'Phone', then I get the Left/Right voice navigation coming out of my phone. But I don't want that.

    is it possible to somehow disable beep sound if ï have voice navigation active? I didnt find solution for that....

    You mean like Hazards warning beeps and stuff like that?

    nope, check video in this thred, I have same on my edge 850, before all voice navigation command you receive beep :/

    Ah I see, before it speaks it does a initial beep(s).

    No I've not seen a setting myself to turn off the initial beep(s) before it talks.

    To be honest I don't mind it :-)

    There is the 'Tones' volume setting in the 'Sounds' section, let me try that out on my next ride.
