I have my 840 set to battery save.  Yet every day when I ride, the battery save is not active and I need to reset it.  How can I ensure that the battery save mode will automatically come on in new rides?

    Are you rebooting the machine every day? If so, try just putting the machine to sleep at the end of the day with a short press to the power button.  Rebooting the device uses a lot of battery so you may find sleep gives you more battery anyway.

    Out of interest, why do you want battery saver as default with a device that lasts for 40 hours even in demanding use?
