Edge 840 not useable after update to 29.22 - menu navigation takes up to 2 seconds response

Whatever is wrong with your device is not inherent in the 29.22 software. My Edge 840 didn't slow down at all when I applied this software. Similarly I have had no reboots. I wonder if there is something different in the way our devices are configured - or whether you perhaps have a hardware fault?

Before the update I had about 4 or 6 weeks with a perfect smooth experience. Much better than all the years before. Now it is unusable, like a very slow diashow. Mainly on the main navigation screen, once i´m in the activity its better.

Tried all factory resets that are possible, deleted temp files etc. 

Also have some different issues on the fenix 8.  

So yeah, it will have a hardware fault - after i throw it out of the window. 

Well, if you just update from a 1st firmware version from long ago, several new functions have been introduced, let it stabilize. Or try to reverse to a previous version. If the problems remain, sorry...

Firmware 28.34 was nearly perfect. After upgrading to 28.34 the device felt double as fast, responsive and stable as before.

So i did update the device quite often.

Now with 29.22 every input on the main page takes at least 2 seconds often also up to 4 sec before any response. It is better in the activity view, but it is still slow.

I try to find a way to get back to 28.34...

Maybe try “cleaning up” your device. Delete routes you dont regularly use. Delete all of your activities from the history (once it is in Connect, iT doesnt have to stay on the device). 28.34 Wasn’t great for me at the start until i did this cleaning action. Same performance now Goes on in the new firmware

Did this already, made all possible resets to the device. Hard-, factory with delete of everything, deleted all maps etc. Didnt help. 

But i found out that as soon i start an activity, the sluggishnes is gone. Also the main home page is totaly fine when an activity is started in the background. 

When I stop the activity, the device gets unusable slow.
