Can Edge 840 record Power from 4iiii and Speed/Distance from Kickr?

I still like to use the power reading from my 4iiii when training indoors, mainly so it's consistant when I get back outside again. I also jump around between rides on Zwift, often doing one ride as a warm-up to another ride. Rather than dealing with multiple files being uploaded to Training Peaks (or others), I thought I would just use my Edge 840 to record everything in one workout, that way I would get time in ride queue before an event starts as well. Anyway, is there a way to have the Edge continue to record power from the 4iiii, but use the Kickr to get Speed/Distance? I know some might suggest just using the power from the Kickr, but there happens to be quite a discrepancy between it and the 4iiii.

  • You can make your PM primary for power in Zwift, and that's what Zwift will use and record instead of power from your trainer. As far as I'm concerned, tor training purposes, distance and speed are irrelevant anyway, and factually zero when riding a trainer.  Power, cadence, HR are what matter and all that's needed to be sent to TrainingPeaks.
