Number of shifts

Is there a way on the 840 to see the number of front/rear shifts executed during a ride?

I cant find the metric anywhere in the data fields.

Once my ride is sync'd to Garmin express and to my Forerunner 955, I can see the number of shifts on my watch! though not on my Edge 840

Any ideas?

Garmin just announced the Edge 850 and Edge 550 with an updated Gear Ratio Analysis feature, though I am unsure what capability will be available for Edge 840.

Thanks, though seems this is a pretty obvious metric to include by default.....on a cycling dedicated head unit.

The fact that it reflects on my 955 and not the head unit is a bit silly really.

You can see it on summary page on unit after ride.

You know..... I should look more closely!

You are correct, it is in the summary. I missed that completely

Still, cant add it as a field on one of the data screens though....
