Garmin coach workouts how to add lap press to advance to next steps

Hi,

when I create a plan in garmin coach then almost all workouts begin with warmup 20min and cooldown 20min, my problem is that after 20minutes of riding I'm not in safe place (high road traffic, crossroads) to execute intervals, sprints etc. I need to extend my warmup to 30-40minutes to be ready to do the main part of workout. 

So my question is any way to add to every garmin coach workouts lap button to manually advance to next step?

  • I tried the coach once and probably won't use it again. It offered no variety to me and always wanted base base base. I also had the same concern that you do. When i tried the other training plan option, for whatever reason the individual workouts were able to be edited and I could extend or add steps, or to continue them until lap button. Coach is weird for cycling without power meters anyway. Alternatively you could initiate the workout further from home.

  • Press and hold ok button on workout screen. There are pause button witch you can stop your current workout step. (Next and previous button too)
