I use my garmin 840 a lot for riding to new areas, I normally use the map screen and zoom into the level I want and leave it on that for the duration of the ride, mostly this is for new or long rides.
This functionally I am familiar with as use it a lot - the zoom stays at the level selected.
Yesterday did a 100mile ride and got so frustrated with my garmin device. After the new update the map screen zooms out to the farthest level every time a turn direction or other alert is activated. You can slect your zoom level when no alert has activated and will stay at that level until the next alert.
When it zooms out it zooms to a 5? mile radius making the map screen TOTALLY useless.
Very dissapointed with this - anyway to rollback or get this fixed?
