How to utilize Map screen real estate more efficiently

This happens when I ride with a pre-configured course (GPS track). The navigation prompts are useful in the countryside or sparsely covered areas, however, in the city with dense streets and crossings, the prompts may not be sufficiently in advance and therefore I prefer to look at the Map data screen. However, due to extra panes on that screen, the actual map is hardly visible (attached).

I was able to recover some screen space by disabling 'Show Elevation' in the settings of the Map data screen. However, given the direction of travel and landscape vs portrait orientation, I'd like to ask whether it'd be possible to:

  • customize the height of the navigation prompt at the top (or disable it, when I watch the map, I don't need the prompt),
  • customize the height of the bottom fields (I realize it's possible to switch to a 0 field layout),
  • show warning notifications in collapsed form (only a small square icon) by default.

Thanks.
