Free ride elevation preview ? (switching from a Wahoo)

Hi All,

Is there a way to configure the elevation preview to always show on the map page when in free ride (no destination / course set).

I am switching over from a Bolt V2 which shows this up until the end of the current road.

Climbpro does seem to do this, but only when it determines you are on a climb.

  • Yes, there's two ways I can think of. Without any data fields, on the map screen press option (top right button), layout, show elevation profile. Or, you can use that same menu to add one data field, then choose elevation graph. That will show your gains/losses over time, about 30 seconds.

  • I have "show elevation profile" enabled - but this only seems to show a profile when navigating a course / route.   On the Wahoo this shows with or without a route loaded.   I would like to see a preview of the elevation on the road ahead during freeride (as it does when it detects a climb).

  • Elevation of the road ahead but not triggered by climbpro? The elevation data screen shows the profile of stuff you've just ridden and I assumed the "show elevation profile" toggle did the same, but looking ahead I don't think so. I have not used a Wahoo to see this in action.

  • "show elevation profile" works when a course/route is loaded - I would like it to show during free ride (no course) - might have overlooked a setting somewhere ?

  • Yes I understand. The elevation screen does what you want but I don't see a data field that mimics the screen in free ride. Maybe it's a bug that "show elevation profile" doesn't work exactly like the elevation data screen.
