27.13 - Spectator Messaging Timeout

I am wondering if I do not understand the following added feature in the firmware version 27.13 for the edge 840 or if the feature does not work.

Added an 8-second timeout to the Spectator Messaging prompt

I expected that the message will dismiss itself after 8 seconds, but the message will stay there until either dismissing the single message or turning spectator messaging off.

In my opinion it would be useful to be able to set the behavior. Based on the usecase automatically dismissing would be fine, but in some instances one might want to be able to choose to do so manually.

Yeah I thought my spectator message would disappear after 8 seconds on the ride the other day too, but it stayed there until I had to action it

I guess it is a bug then.

Kind of wish it would be a setting and maybe also be possible to have a page to see all received message of the current live track.

I understood it as a spectator can only send a message every 8 seconds. Is that not right?

I verified what you understood, but I can basically spam (limited by me typing on the smartphone - meaning a message every 2-3 seconds) and all messages will get delivered.

I have to mention that the messages need to be dismissed one by one, meaning it will show the next message directly if one has been "queued".

Therefore I am still not sure what the intended behavior of the change should be.
