Garmin Coach: Not Syncing across Edge 840 and Garmin Fenix 7s / Garmin Connect

I'm experiencing an issue where my Garmin Edge 840 does not display the same training as my Garmin Fenix.

The training plan in the Garmin Connect app is always correctly synced with the Fenix, but the Edge often shows a different workout for the day.

I've already checked that both devices are synced via Bluetooth/Wi-Fi, and I frequently perform manual syncs.

Still, the Edge doesn't reflect the correct training plan.

How can I ensure that both devices consistently display the same scheduled workouts?

  • I have the same, edge 840 shows different garmin coach workouts that are in garmin connect online.

  • The same here, today the 840 showed a different workout then the one scheduled in the Garmin plan . I have set the 840 as the primary training device and the Fenix 7 as wearable. Furthermore, the Connect does not update the training status

  • I'm pretty sure I’ve fixed the issue.

    Main steps / initial attempts:

    • Disconnected all Garmin devices from the phone

    • Deleted Garmin devices from the Garmin Connect app

    • Removed the phone from the Garmin device

    • Deleted the Garmin devices from the phone’s Bluetooth settings

    • Reconnected the devices to the phone

    Successful solution:

    • Connected all Garmin devices simultaneously to the PC via USB cable

    • Ran Garmin Express

    • Updated all devices and allowed time for full synchronization afterwards

So far, all devices are now back in sync and correctly update after an activity.

However, the actual syncing process can still take up to 10 minutes—from transferring data from one Garmin device to the phone and then to the next device. The syncing itself is fairly quick, but the calculation and display of updated values (such as load, VO2 max, etc.) happens gradually over several minutes. This means the data transfer is fast, but the processing and updating of stats takes most of the time.
