Strava Routes not appearing on Edge 840 after sync

Hi,

newest frimware on my 840, sync of Strava routes as well as Komoot has been working fine since purchase.

Now:

new routes not appearing on the device. Routes appearing on the phone app as well as on the connect website. Stared and unstared several routes as well as de-activated and activated strava connection several times. Syncing the 840 with my phone runs through smootly without failure messages. Also I am verry well below the 100 courses limit. 

Still - none of the above brings the device to display the newly added courses. 

Any ideas to takle this??

  • Hey is there a chance your courses share the same or similar file names?

    When naming courses, keep in mind that most devices have a limit where they only look at the first 15 characters in the name of a course. If there are multiple courses where the first 15 characters are the same, the device will think they are the same course. To work around this limitation, make sure the names vary within the first 15 characters. (Creating a Course in Garmin Connect)

    Courses are all named differntly - this should not be the issue..

  • If the courses are not being displayed on the Edge, this should either be a file name error (new course name already exists on device) or a course limit error (limited to 100 courses). In some cases the Edge may simply need restarted in order to reprocess new course files.

    I may suggest removing all course files from the Edge and then re-sending courses one at a time.
