Surface tarmac

indoor training, surface tarmac!? I have to laugh, makes no sense. Is it meant to be like this?
PS. tarmac indoor, not yet anyway

It's not better for riding outdoors; The maps are very clear whats paved and what isn't, however, I can ride the same route twice and the results will be different every time. Always wrong anyways. Seems like a pointless metric Garmin implemented.
