Issue with 2 segments that overlap each other

Same road share 2 segments that start at the same place and overlap each other:

  • first is 2 km
  • second is 20km

Problems:

  • Impossible to switch between segments on segment screen
  • When shorter segment is finished, longer segment not turning on
  • When riding – you have no idea which time ahead/behind you are looking at
  • Every ride attempt selects random segment of two
  • Impossible to pre-select segment you are going to ride (Ride Segment, like existing Ride Course)

    Segments have been poorly executed on Garmin Devices for quite a few years...

    I need to enable and disable the segments prior to riding. For those that overlap, or start in a very similar location, one has to disable the one you don't want and enable the one you want. Or often, going into Training/Segments and selecting the segment you want to ride and select Ride. It won't track both if they happen to be on the same route, where one is shorter than the other.

    I have missed "Ride Segment" in training section. This is the partial solution to the problem
