Edge 840 auto pause while moving.

Auto pause activates every few kilometers while I'm moving at high speed. After a hundred meters it resumes again. Today it took 3 kilometers from a 100 km ride that Itook with my friend.

    Do you have a speed sensor in use? It might be, when only using GPS, that under unfavourable circumstances (high buildings around, tunnels, viaducts, wet leaves forest,...) GPS alone gets lost sometimes. And for completeness reason: you did not set your auto-pause speed unrealistically high?

    And finally: if you use a speed sensor: fresh battery?

    IDK.  I've had various issues in the past so now I always use a speed sensor and if using Auto Pause, I set it to custom 6kph.

    I'm using a Garmin speed sensor and the auto pause is set to when stopped. The rides are along the coast mostly and there are no high buildings and other objects.

    I'll try to replace the battery but I think that I did that recently.
