Edge 840 won't sync after SW update to 26.17

I am having issue syncing activity from my Edge 840 to Garmin Connect.

This is what happened:

  • I went to a ride and the battery on the Edge emptied and my unit turned off. Fortunately that happened 5 minutes from home.
  • When I came home, I plugged in my unit and after some time I was able to save today's ride
  • When a unit was charged it turned on and an update (26.17) was offered
  • I updated the unit and it restarted
  • Later, I opened the Garmin Connect to check the activity and notice that it is not uploaded
  • I tried to sync it from the phone and then from the device but without success
  • I tried to restart the device, to reconnect my phone to reconnect to WiFi but no luck

I basically live in Garmin Connect and every activity is important to me, so I would really appreciate if this could be resolved without losing this activity.
