26.17 beep for sensors?

In previous versions, my Edge would beep when connecting to an ANT device (but not a bluetooth device oddly), however after the most recent updates I noticed it doesn't anymore. I have confirmed tones are checked on and I've tried switching the device from ANT to Bluetooth and back, but no luck. I like having the confirmation when it connects.

    I will also not that this applies to sensors dropping during a ride. I have a Varia Radar (RVR315). During a ride, I will turn it off when it is not needed to save battery and avoid annoying beeps (see below). before 26.17, it would prompt with "Radar disconnected" and when I turned it back on "Radar Connected". After 2617 (including 26.18), it prompts for disconnect half the time and never for when it reconnects.

    Aside, I would not turn my radar off if there was a way to mute on the head unit. Other head units, Wahoo for instance, have this feature when paired with a Varia Radar.

    Hi @Garmin-Blake. Please can you confirm that this regression issue will indeed be fixed, and soon?

    It is unacceptable that our £400+ gadgets get broken by software updates, Garmin need to recognise this and finally adopt a policy of carrying out thorough regression tests before releasing new software, just like any serious software house would. I've been using Garmin fitness devices for over 20 years, since the Forerunner 201, but am going to start migrating over to an alternative vendor unless you up your game in this respect.
