Why datafields aren't color coded?

So our devices have color support, but all built-in datafields do not use any color coding. Even graphical datafields don't use color coding, just 1 color for everything.

While 3rd party datafields could theoretically solve Garmin's UX/UI issue – they don't have API access to some user's metrics, such as FTP or power zones

Garmin you're good?! Our devices support colors, Garmin Connect clearly have color indication for HR, Power zones – why it's not supported on the devices?

If company is too conservative, it can keep monochrome version and add color version separately

Some (at least one) fields allow this, the Virtual Partner Time & Distance Ahead or Behind fields turn Red background when behind. Screenshot from 530 but x40s do it too (I think)
