storage capacity

edge 840 (Version 25.24). I updated the pre-installed maps to the new available version. Afterwards there was only one GB free.
I had to erase the map of America to have free space.
The European map is over 17GB
is it normal?

    IDK, but when I got my 840 it had both North America and Europe maps on it.  The first map update thereafter I had to remove the Euro map in order for there to be enough room to update the NA map. Since, I've only had the NA maps installed.

    Same situation. I live in Italy and I did the opposite (I had to remove the North America map).

    This is a common issue going back years. I just got the new device and discovered the memory issue. I actually did a bit of research before I decided on the 840. I guess I did not do enough. I had a Karoo 2 but the screen cracked and it became unreliable. It had North America and Western Europe on it no problem. Pretty frustrating when you pay hundreds of dollars and the 840 is so low on memory
