How to remove these icons?

Does anybody know how to remove these icons from the screen?

1) The "edit" popup is very annoying when not in setup mode. Additionally it does not work at all.

2) In Garmin Edge 830 the -/+ and the hand icons invoked by tapping on the screen. Now they are there all the time, obstructing the screen, which is not large. Why are they showing all the time now?

    1) That is indeed of no use; that it does not work at all I did not verify

    2) Complaint about this have been posted here already.

    One credit though: the N-pointer on the map screen is now much better visible!
