I fixed mine. Download Garmin Connect on laptop, do all the map updates that you can and also reload the map. Once that is done the device map updated worked for me.
Figured that my device struggled to access WIFI, therefore the maps could not be updated. I managed the update the maps using Garmin Express, by plug-in the device in the laptop. But make sure your laptop does not go to sleep during upload otherwise it will pause and the software is so bad it won't be able to resume. So you need to do it all over again. Regarding WIFI I browsed so many threads, everyone experience the same issue. Seems there is no proper way to fix it. These types of bugs are unacceptable coming from Garmin.
