840 significant lag?

My 840 seems to have only grown slower, to the point where I just counted 10 seconds to open the main menu. It takes minutes between hitting the stop button and the ride finishing, and generally the operation is just super buggy and slow. Menus do not scroll, you swipe and then wait for 10-20 seconds and then it jumps to the bottom. 

Firmware 24.19, but this has been a problem with prior versions. I want to throw this thing against a wall, it’s nearly unusable.

Should I factory reset? It’s such a huge pain.

    I had this. Now it's ok. I deleted old courses in the folder from PC, also I updated to 24.19 so I am not sure if sw upgrade or cleaning Memory were the solution. I suggest you to clean the memory

    Have you cleaned out the activities folder on the unit recently?

    that makes sense--I do have a number of long courses saved. I'll delete and see how it goes

    I like living “on the edge” so take every beta version, my 1040 therefore often gets a bit confused, apart from having a stable previous version to downgrade to the factory resets generally clear things up and I do quite a few. The x40 coupled with GCM enhancements from a while back have much improved the backup (via sync) and restore process, very little problems at all. Restores most sensors, settings, profiles and even some wifi & phone connection settings, misses CIQ  fields and apps. No a “huge pain” (for me) at all.

    Fixed? I deleted entering the folder (i don't remember which one, actually I just have mobile connection) and taking hundreds of Activities and just canceled..
