HRM Pro Plus lost connectivity

The HRM PRO PLUS started losing Bluetooth connectivity completely. Garmin Support suggested flipping the 2032 battery upside down as a temporary fix, but I have to repeat this every time I go for a ride, and the connection only lasts a few minutes for 840 to pick it up. I’ve tried a new battery with no success, and despite the device being in excellent condition, the issue persists. Has anyone else encountered this problem or found a reliable solution?

  • sounds like a problem with the strap, not the head unit.

Do you know anyone else with a Garmin watch/head unit ? Try connect it to their device and see what happens.

If it doesn't drop , then it's your head unit. If it drops, then it's the strap.

  • I'm also experiencing this issue.  It seems to have started in the last month or so.

I also have a Garmin watch and the connection there is as solid as before so it seems like it's a problem on my Edge 840 rather than the HRM.

  • I've only had the Edge 840 Solar for a few weeks, and at first, the connection to the HRM Pro Plus worked without any issues. Today, it didn’t work at all. The heart rate monitor works fine with the Fenix watch. Both the Edge and the HRM have the latest software version. @Garmin: Give us a solution! We've spent a lot of money on the Edge and the HRM. Thanks.

  • I'm having the same issue with my HRM-FIT and it started within the last month and I already tried replacing the 2032 battery.

    Garmin, please help!

  • Don't know if it's my Edge 840 or the HRM-Fit... But, I'm now guessing it's the Edge 840 since that had a recent software update?
