Navigate to the start of a course.

On my Edge 1000, after loading a course, I was offered to be guided to the start of the course.

That doesn't happen on my new Edge 840.

Is that just me or am I overlooking an option somewhere?

Not a problem in itself because it is possible to mark the starting point before loading the course, navigate to this point and start the course there.

But still, I thought it was a nice option.

Anyone have an idea?

Yes enabling "Turn Guidance" does the job On the Edge 840 indeed, but then I'm stuck with arrows the entire ride and I'm not very happy about that.

Which “arrows” are you not “happy” with? The turn arrows on the map or the direction chevrons on the course line (you get these with or without turn guidance) , please explain more, with a screenshot if you can.

If you only want guidance to the start but not for the course then disable it at the start, I am sure you will figure it out then

I mean the arrows that indicate the turns, not the chevrons that indicate the orientation of the ride.
Furthermore, enabling "Turn Guidance" causes the system to calculate a route which is displayed in pink together with the original track in purple.
In off road situations both route and track overlap only partly and this is not what I prefer.
The Edge 1000 navigates to the start without enabling "Turn Guidance".
It looks like it doesn't work on the Edge 840.
