Training Plans and Zwift, suggestion

Couldn't decide where to post this, but it would be awesome if zwift workouts could count toward completion of Garmin Coach workouts.

I know there's a workaround with recording on Edge and Zwift at same time, but that's ridiculous.

What's keeping Garmin from allowing this integration? Is Zwift not recording some data that Garmin Connect needs?

It could be the necessary "calculations" happen on the Garmin device... but with the popularity of indoor cycling, especially during winter months, I'd expect a more elegant solution.

Thanks!

Also, I can't find a way to export suggested Gamin workouts to Zwift - so therefore I'm not using Garmin's plans, even though I wanted to.

What makes it even more mind-boggling, is that they use and trust Zwift data (once imported to Garmin) to calculate related training data like stress and body battery, etc.
But then, as stated, you can't export a training session to Zwift, Zwift distance don't count for the Garmin "challenges", and like you say, it's not even considered for Garmin Coach workout.

At least better than MyWhoosh, which does not integrate at all, but you'd have thought that if they trust it for the data, then trust it fully. Whether you put out your prescribed watts indoor or out, what's the difference? (I actually prefer structured rides to be indoor - much more precise.)
